After a distinguished 23-year career with the Madison Police Department, retired Captain Mike Hanson now brings his extensive experience in safety, security, and organizational planning to your team. As a leader in large-scale event coordination and emergency incident command, he's seen firsthand what it takes to protect people and property.

The Madison Police Department is nationally recognized as a leader in modern policing. Mike's success is a direct result of the progressive training and real-world experiences he gained there. Today, he channels that same expertise to help schools, businesses, and organizations build safer, more secure environments.

For the past 11 years, Mike has served as an Instructor for Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, where he travels the country teaching police commanders from across the United States. In addition, Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management and has completed graduate-level coursework in Public Administration.
